How will you make your impact?
As the Subject Matter Expert, Primary Engineering at Linxon, you will be at the forefront of transforming the energy landscape across the Americas. In this pivotal role, you will apply your technical mastery to develop innovative Substation Layout Designs spanning 765kV to 11kV, directly contributing to the modernization, resiliency, and sustainability of the power grid.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary experts-Project Lead Engineers, BIM Engineers, Protection & Control Engineers, and Civil Engineers-collectively shaping solutions that enable reliable energy access, support the integration of renewables, and strengthen critical infrastructure for future generations. Your insights won't just support projects; they will influence how communities and industries stay powered in a rapidly evolving energy world.
While this is an individual contributor position, it is intentionally built for someone ready to grow into a leadership path. With demonstrated performance and vision, you can advance into a Lead Engineer or Primary Engineering Team Leader role within 3-5 years. What will you do?
  • You will deliver high-voltage designs that strengthen grid reliability and support clean-energy growth.
  • You will produce buildable layouts and specifications that reduce construction issues and keep procurement on track.
  • You will apply advanced engineering analysis to prevent failures and ensure long-term system performance.
  • You will lead design reviews and provide targeted site support to resolve issues early and avoid costly rework.
  • You will collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and field teams to ensure seamless execution from design to energization.

Who you are?
  • You have hands-on experience with both outdoor and indoor GIS applications, including a solid understanding of the building infrastructure needed to support indoor GIS systems.
  • You are skilled in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, and use these tools to produce accurate, high-quality design deliverables.
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least five (5) years of experience, or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least three (3) years of experience.
  • You ideally hold or are working toward a Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) certification.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,400 to $173,300. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
