Job description

We are seeking an experienced and driven Dental CAD/CAM Designer Lead for a growing dental laboratory in Pennsylvania. This full-time, on-site role pays $70,000–$90,000 per year (depending on experience) and requires designing complex restorations, managing digital workflows, and leading a technical design team.Job OverviewThe Lead Designer oversees the daily digital workflow, mentors junior technicians, and ensures precision design for crown, bridge, and full-arch implant cases. You will work closely with lab management and local clinical partners to optimize production.Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and support junior CAD/CAM designers. Manage daily case assignments and production queues.
  • Advanced Design: Design crowns, bridges, custom abutments, and complex All-on-X / full-arch restorations.
  • Digital Workflow: Integrate intraoral scans, digital prescriptions, and photogrammetry data.
  • Quality & Troubleshooting: Perform rigorous quality control checks. Troubleshoot software, scanning, and milling discrepancies.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on dental CAD/CAM design experience, with prior leadership or mentoring background preferred.
  • Software Mastery: Advanced, proven proficiency in 3Shape Dental System and exocad.
  • Anatomical Expertise: Strong grasp of dental anatomy, occlusion, and restorative principles.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with milling strategies, 3D printing, and material properties (zirconia, PMMA, titanium).
