What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Computrition Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Computrition Specialist, you need a background in nutrition, foodservice management, or dietetics, often supported by a related degree or certification. Familiarity with Computrition software, nutrition analysis tools, and hospital information systems is typically required. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective communication help ensure accurate data management and collaboration with dietary and clinical teams. These skills are crucial for optimizing foodservice operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting patient nutrition outcomes.

What are Salaried Computrition positions?

Salaried Computrition positions typically refer to roles within organizations that use Computrition software, which is a nutrition management and food service automation system. Employees in these positions may work in healthcare, hospitality, or food service settings, managing menu planning, inventory, and dietary compliance using the Computrition platform. Their responsibilities often include ensuring efficient food service operations, maintaining accurate nutritional information, and supporting regulatory compliance. These roles are salaried, meaning employees receive a fixed regular payment rather than hourly wages.

How does a Salaried Computrition role typically collaborate with clinical staff and food service teams?

In a Salaried Computrition position, you will frequently work alongside both clinical staff, such as dietitians, and food service teams to ensure that patient dietary needs are met efficiently and accurately. This collaboration involves interpreting nutrition orders, updating patient menus, and troubleshooting any discrepancies between prescribed diets and meal deliveries. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential, as you'll act as a bridge between departments to maintain compliance with dietary guidelines and enhance patient satisfaction. Regular meetings and direct communication with team members are common to ensure seamless food service operations in a healthcare setting.

Job Information:
About Computrition
Computrition, Inc. is a leading provider of enterprise foodservice, nutrition management, and retail software technology, trusted by more than 1,200 customers across North America, including healthcare systems, military installations, correctional facilities, and higher education institutions. For more than 44 years, we've built technology in service of our customers, helping them improve operational efficiency, strengthen financial performance, and deliver better nutritional care.
We're investing in the future of our platform by adopting modern technologies and working closely with customers to solve complex operational challenges. Our solutions have real world impact, driving performance enhancement in how hospitals, military installations, and other institutions operate every day.
Computrition offers the stability of an established industry leader, with a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth where employees can make a meaningful impact. You'll join experienced professionals who are passionate about solving meaningful problems and delivering measurable outcomes for customers.
With team members across the U.S. and Canada, and as part of a growing portfolio of technology companies owned by Constellation Software Inc. (TSX: CSU.TO), we are well positioned to continue advancing the future of foodservice and nutrition software technology.
If you're looking to build technology that makes a meaningful impact while growing your career with a stable, innovative company, we'd like to hear from you.
Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Technical Project Manager to lead strategic cloud technology initiatives from concept through completion, while also contributing to select on-premise software growth initiatives. This role is responsible for managing project scope, timeline, budget, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with strategic organizational objectives. The Project Manager will work cross-functionally with product development, engineering, operations, finance, and executive leadership to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
This role requires experience using AI tools to accelerate the management, tracking, and delivery of technical development, as well as the commercialization of new software initiatives, not just familiarity with AI in the abstract.
This is a full-time position reporting directly to the President of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
• Develop, implement, and maintain detailed project plans including timelines, milestones, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Define project scope and objectives, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Lead project kickoffs, regular status meetings, post-project reviews, and the swift execution of action items.
• Track project progress and deliverables through established project management tools and reporting systems.
Strategic Planning and Performance Execution
• Partner with the President on strategic planning for our cloud growth initiatives and select on-premise innovation initiatives, translating strategic priorities into executable plans with clear ownership and timelines, assisting with on-time delivery within targeted budgets.
• Track execution against strategic milestones, not just project tasks, surfacing where performance is falling behind intent and driving corrective action.
• Contribute to the commercial and business planning view of key initiatives, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Sales to connect technical delivery to business outcomes.
Budget and Financial Oversight
• Establish and manage project budgets, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting variances.
• Ensure all project expenditures align with approved budgets and company financial policies.
• Provide quarterly budget summaries and variance analyses to leadership.
• Identify and operationalize opportunities for enhanced financial performance.
Communication and Reporting
• Serve as the central point of contact for project related communication across departments.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for leadership review.
• Facilitate quarterly strategic reviews, providing updates on project status, key milestones, risks, and opportunities.
• Proactively engage with customers and prospects to solicit feedback on offerings and stimulate demand.
Risk and Issue Management
• Proactively identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, developing mitigation and contingency plans.
• Escalate critical issues promptly and facilitate resolution with appropriate stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
• Contribute to the refinement of project management processes, tools, and best practices.
• Analyze project outcomes to identify lessons learned and opportunities for future improvement.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree required, in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. An MBA, or equivalent business experience translating technical execution into strategic and business outcomes, is considered a strong advantage.
• 5+ years of experience managing cloud, software product development, or technical projects preferred.
• Experience working in a cross-functional team environment with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Prior experience working in healthcare foodservice operations or bedside nutrition management is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
• Experience using AI tools and workflows to accelerate the planning, tracking, and delivery of technical development initiatives, and to support the commercialization of new technologies from early development through go-to-market execution, is required for this role.
• Strong understanding of cloud and software product development life cycles.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar tools.
• Fluency in technical software development terminology and tasks at a high level.
• PMP or similar certification preferred.
Performance Metrics
• Timely delivery of project milestones.
• Budget adherence within approved tolerances.
• Scope management and change control effectiveness.
• Strategic milestone achievement and alignment between technical delivery and business outcomes.
• Stakeholder satisfaction and cross-functional collaboration.
This is a full-time position, ideal for someone self-motivated, dependable, and stable.
If you feel you are the team player we are looking for, please submit your resume and a one-page letter stating why you believe you are the right candidate. As part of Computrition's evaluation, candidates will be required to complete a background information check prior to any offer being extended.
