Status: Full Time

Schedule: Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, includes a minimum of 32 patient contact hours per week, plus procedures, rounding and consults.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician-led 650+ provider multispecialty group seeking a general orthopedic surgeon to join a busy orthopedic practice in Fruitland, Idaho. The team is supported by two Orthopedic Sports Medicine physicians and three Advanced Practice Providers.

Support: Hospital-based imaging services include a 24/7 radiology department with in-house coverage for general Radiology and CT; after hours coverage for Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine; MRI; Comprehensive Breast Center; and DR image capture technology.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Successful completion of accredited residency
  • Board certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) - or obtain within 3 years
  • Obtain Idaho & Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SAMC-Ontario and SAMC- Nampa
  • Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA
  • Willingness to take general orthopedic call

Community: Located across from each other on the Snake River, where it forms the Idaho-Oregon border, Ontario, Oregon and Fruitland, Idaho serve as the retail, service, and medical center for 70,000 people within a 20-mile radius. Interstate 84 and Oregon Highways 20/26, 30, and 201 all pass through Ontario. Ontario/Fruitland is one hour from Boise, Idaho. The Boise Airport (BOI) is the principal airport serving the region. It is a major commercial airport, where several major airlines provide daily flights to medium and large cities in all directions. A local general aviation airport offers charter service and other Fixed Base Operator services.
