Job description

At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

At Roche, we advance science so that we all have more time with the people we love. This is your chance to make a tangible impact on patient outcomes by supporting the implementation, maintenance, and oversight of our local Pharmacovigilance (PV) system. In this vital role, you will help safeguard our License to Operate by ensuring our local safety processes fully comply with global Roche standards and local regulatory authority requirements. You will join a dynamic, collaborative environment where you can actively contribute to executing our Patient Safety strategies. Partnering closely with internal cross-functional teams and external health partners, you will implement high-quality local safety solutions and shape the local regulatory landscape. This role provides exceptional growth opportunities as you take ownership of critical PV activities, identify system optimisations, and help drive innovation across our therapeutic area portfolio.

The Opportunity

Execute core pharmacovigilance operational tasks to ensure monitoring of the safety profile of Roche products and their safety risk management, meeting regulatory requirements, and ensuring license to operate. Drive local risk management plans, risk minimisation measures, and transparent safety communications (such as DHPCs) in partnership with local teams. Oversee the PV aspects of local studies, patient access programs, and non-interventional studies to ensure seamless safety monitoring. Partner with local trade associations, healthcare organisations, and patient groups to promote regulatory reliance and harmonisation. Analyse safety insights across targeted disease areas and proactively integrate them into local and global therapeutic strategies. Work closely with Patient Safety Operations, Affiliate PV Net, and local site communities to address challenges and optimise safety processes.

Who You Are

You are a proactive, quality-focused professional who thrives in a collaborative, purpose-driven setting. You possess strong strategic thinking, enjoy solving complex problems, and bring positive energy to cross-functional networks.

You bring:

  • A qualification or degree in Life Sciences or a healthcare-related discipline (e.g., PharmD, MSc, BSc, or Nursing).
  • At least 3-5 years of hands-on PV experience, ideally within an affiliate or local setting.
  • Knowledge of local and global PV ecosystems, drug development basics, and clinical safety processes.
  • Proven ability to build trusting relationships, influence cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively.
  • Strong problemโ€‘solving abilities, with a track record of prioritising tasks effectively and operating with an abundance mindset.
