This role leads teams including Walmart Connect’ s Ad Policy team, that serves as one of the first lines of defense for ensuring compliance with our Ad Policy and is responsible for the strategy, development, operationalization and execution of ad moderation and business enforcement, policy enablement and policy development, as well as Walmart Connect’ s Risk and Controls team, responsible for business management of governance programs including business process and product risk evaluation and remediation in internal and external audits, MRC accreditation, SOX compliance, business continuity programs and data governance approaches. • Lead Trust & Safety Operations for Walmart Connect, providing senior‑level operational and people leadership for teams responsible for ad policy enforcement, testing support, audit support, controls implementation, remediation, and other first‑line‑of‑defense activities that protect platform integrity and advertiser trust.
  • Serve as the primary first‑line liaison to Walmart Connect Compliance & Ethics, partnering closely on risk identification, issue management, audits, and control effectiveness, while supporting second‑line oversight through strong documentation, transparency, and accountability.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex or high‑risk Trust & Safety issues, exercising sound judgment and partnering with cross‑functional leaders to resolve issues while balancing platform integrity, advertiser trust, and business needs.
  • Own the day‑to‑day execution of ad policy governance and enforcement, ensuring advertising content, products, and practices consistently meet legal, regulatory, ethical, and Walmart Connect policy standards across the advertising lifecycle.
  • Lead updates and operational implementation of ad policies, by translating and implementing Legal and Compliance regulatory requirements and risk guidance into clear, executable standards and workflows for the business.
  • Oversee ongoing operational testing, quality assurance, and issue resolution, ensuring consistent application of ad policies, standard operating procedures, timely remediation of gaps, and readiness for audits, internal reviews, and regulatory inquiries in partnership with the second and third lines of defense.
  • Design, maintain, and execute business and operational processes and controls to identify, assess, and mitigate risks and oversee SOX/financial control frameworks including recurring operational risk reviews, control mapping, documentation, testing, remediation, and ongoing daily monitoring to ensure readiness for audits and regulatory examinations, post‑audit remediation execution and third‑party risk management activities within assigned scope.
  • Drive continuous improvement and control optimization, including conducting root-cause analysis of control failures, implementing automation where possible, and serving as the primary business liaison for any internal and external audits, risk management, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Partner crossfunctionally with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, Sales, and Marketing to embed Trust & Safety requirements into product launches, go‑to‑market initiatives, and operational processes, ensuring responsible growth without introducing unmanaged risk.
  • Drive education and training for Walmart Connect associates on ad policies and business risks mitigation practices that reinforce trust and safety best practices, a culture of accountability, ethical advertising, and shared risk ownership.
  • Build strong, credible relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders, communicating clearly across audiences, influencing operational decisions, and confidently escalating material risks and issues as needed.
  • Develop, structure, retain, and motivate highperforming teams, fostering learning, resilience, continuous improvement, and operational excellence while ensuring the organization remains scalable, efficient, and execution‑focused.

  • Strong working knowledge of advertising regulations, data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and industry Trust & Safety standards.
  • Demonstrated experience operationalizing ad policy or compliance programs at scale in partnership with Legal and Compliance teams.

  • Expertise translating regulatory requirements into clear, executable policies and workflows.
