Graham is actively Recruiting for an Operations Manager, Strategic Projects, leading a portfolio of specialized, commercial construction projects in our Buildings Division. Reporting to the District Manager, you’ll oversee multiple concurrent projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery.

This role blends operational leadership, client engagement, and team development, including mentoring new graduates and supporting rotational programs to build future talent

Your Role in Building What Matters

  • Lead a portfolio of strategic projects from preconstruction to closeout.
  • Oversee a Strategic Projects Group performing smaller, fast-turnaround commercial construction projects for strategically important clients with sustainable pipelines of work.
  • Oversee estimating, planning, subcontracting, and execution across multiple projects.
  • Manage schedules, budgets, and performance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Optimize resources across teams to drive efficient delivery.
  • Build strong client relationships and identify repeat business opportunities.
  • Drive financial performance through forecasting, cost control, and risk management.
  • Provide portfolio updates and insights to senior leadership.
  • Lead and develop project teams, fostering accountability and collaboration.
  • Mentor early-career professionals and support rotational development programs.
  • Champion safety, quality, and compliance across all projects.

The Right Tools for the Job

Experience:

  • 10+ years in construction project leadership (commercial buildings, including fast turnaround, renovations, or tenant improvements preferred).
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a high-volume environment.
  • Strategic Projects Group experience, nice to have.

Education:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Skills:

  • Strong financial and project management capabilities.
  • Proven leadership and team development experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation

  • Salary Range of $155,000 – $195,000 per annum
  • Compensation aligned to education and experience, ensuring fair and competitive placement
  • Three to five weeks of vacation with credit for prior industry experience
