What is SaaS software?

SaaS software, or Software as a Service, is a cloud-based delivery model where users access applications over the internet instead of installing and maintaining them on local devices. SaaS solutions are typically subscription-based and managed by a third-party provider, who handles updates, security, and infrastructure. Popular examples of SaaS include Google Workspace, Salesforce, and Microsoft 365.
