  • Design, develop, and deploy SSIS packages for ETL/ELT workflows using Visual Studio and SQL Server Data Tools.
  • Implement data validation, error logging, restartability, and package configurations.
  • Migrate legacy DTS/SSIS packages and optimize for performance and reliability.
  • Schedule and monitor SSIS jobs via SQL Server Agent or AWS SSM/Airflow.
  • Collaborate with analysts and developers to design normalized/denormalized schemas and data marts.
  • Participate in code reviews, data architecture discussions, and sprint planning.
  • Assist in large-scale data migrations (on-prem ? cloud, cross-database).
  • Build reusable ETL frameworks for recurring data loads.
  • Support BI teams by creating staging tables, views, and report-ready datasets.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience with:
  • T-SQL (complex joins, CTEs, window functions, dynamic SQL)
  • SQL Server 2016+ (on-prem or RDS)
  • AWS RDS (instance setup, scaling, backups, monitoring)
  • SSIS (control flow, data flow, scripting tasks, deployments)
  • Solid understanding of relational database design, normalization, and indexing strategies.
  • Experience with source control (Git preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication - able to explain technical concepts clearly.
