SPC Trainer
About the Team:
The ZFPS Specialist is responsible for strategizing and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles, techniques, and methodologies for the most efficient utilization of labor, material, and capital.
What you can look forward to as a Specialist-ZF Production System:
  • Directly support manufacturing operations to increase efficiency and target higher profitability and responsible for hands on implementation of continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with all Manufacturing Support Areas to identify and address Manufacturing constraints. Coordinate, schedule, and execute Lean methodologies and Kaizen activities within the facility. (5S initiatives, Lean Manufacturing Principles, TPS Philosophy, One-Piece Flow, Line Capacity Analysis, Standardized Work, Line Balancing, Pull Systems, Waste Identification and Reduction, Visual Management)
  • Establish and maintain clear, visual project schedules and demonstration story boards; prepare/complete reports and presentations to ZFTG Management as required.
  • Analyze operational goals and targets to achieve the company's business needs, identifying gaps and opportunities to reduce/eliminate waste within the value stream.
  • Develop and implement improvements to eliminate operational wastes in the process, while managing and evaluating multiple projects.
  • Develop and deploy ZFPS and Lean Manufacturing training materials, coordinate and provide ZFPS and Lean Manufacturing directions with the supporting departments such as Logistics, Quality, Maintenance, and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Manage, train and administer continuous improvement principles throughout the organization.
  • Foster a culture of moving forward in a changing environment, and continuously strive for buy-in and ownership at all levels.
  • Understand and comply with IATF-16949 and ISO 14000 requirements.

Your profile as Specialist-ZF Production System:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of manufacturing and/or skilled trades experience
  • Working knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional manner, including oral and written demonstrations to senior management and customers.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Power Point. Visio, MS-Project.
  • Demonstrated ability to work without supervision while maintaining a high level of motivation.
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, and to provide support to off-shifts
