What is an SDLC project?

An SDLC project refers to a project that follows the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which is a process used for planning, creating, testing, and deploying information systems or software applications. The SDLC provides a structured approach to software development by dividing the process into distinct phases, such as requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. This methodology helps ensure that software is delivered efficiently, meets user requirements, and maintains high quality standards throughout its lifecycle.

What are some common challenges faced by SDLC project managers during the software development lifecycle?

SDLC Project Managers often encounter challenges such as managing shifting project requirements, balancing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring that the team adheres to tight deadlines. Communication across cross-functional teams can also be complex, especially when coordinating between development, QA, and business units. Proactively identifying risks and adapting to unforeseen technical issues are key to keeping projects on track and within scope.
