Job description

SWIC EDUCATIONAL EMPLOYEE POSITION

Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time SWIC Educational Employee position of Shipping and Receiving Clerk. In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, shipping and receiving work involves manual and clerical duties on the receiving dock, the receiving workroom, and in college storage areas. Some outdoor work and occasional driving is required. Duties include the packaging and organization of outgoing shipments; the receipt, unpacking, storage and delivery of incoming shipments; maintenance of shipping and receiving records; distribution of bulk printing paper; and assisting with inventory control. Assist in expediting of inbound shipments and processing or RMA's to vendors. Supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the S/R Coordinator.

Qualifications: 1. High School diploma or GED required. Associate's degree preferred. 2. Minimum of three-year's previous warehousing work experience required. Experience with powered moving equipment and lifts preferred. Forklift certification preferred. 3. Previous experience in supervising preferred. 4. Must be over 21 with a valid driver's license.

Starting Pay and Hours: $19.73/hour at 37.5 hours per week.
