Position SummaryThe Shipping, Receiving & Packaging Operator i s responsible for supporting daily shipping, receiving, packaging, and material handling operations i n a fast-paced CN manufacturing environment. This position focuses on executing operational tasks accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and quality standards.
The role works closely with Production, Quality, Planning, and Shipping departments to support on-time delivery and proper packaging o f precision machined components for the semiconductor and medical device industries.
Shift : Mon - Fri: 8AM TO 4:30PMShipping & Packaging• Package finished goods i n accordance with customer specifications, job travelers, drawings, and company procedures.• Verify quantities, part numbers, revisions, and labeling prior to shipment.• Review job travelers t o ensure Final Inspection approval is complete before shipment.• Prepare and apply shipping labels, identification labels, and handling labels (Fragile, Heavy, Do Not Stack, etc.).• Package products using appropriate materials t o prevent damage during transit.• Include certifications and required documentation with shipments when applicable.• Coordinate domestic and local shipments using approved carriers and customer portals.• Maintain organized shipping areas and staging locations.
Receiving• Receive incoming materials, hardware, tooling, and outside processing deliveries.• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, certifications, and ERP records.• Enter receiving transactions accurately into ERP systems.• Identify and report discrepancies involving quantity, damage, certifications, or revision mismatches.• Coordinate with Quality and Planning departments regarding incoming material compliance.• Maintain organization and traceability of incoming materials and customer product.
Material Handling & Logistics• Load, unload, move, and organize materials throughout the facility.• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.• Perform local pickups and deliveries when required.• Maintain reusable packaging materials and shipping supplies.
Compliance & Documentation• Follow all company safety procedures and quality system requirements.• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation and records.• Ensure proper handling o f customer-owned materials and sensitive products.• Support ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 compliance requirements.• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas i n shipping and receiving departments.
General Support• Communicate shortages, delays, and operational issues to management promptly.• Assist with continuous improvement and process efficiency initiatives.• Support cross-functional departments a s operational needs require.• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills• Forklift operation experience preferred.• ERP system and basic computer proficiency required.• Ability to read job travelers, packing instructions, and part labels.• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.• Basic math and counting skills.• Ability t o work independently and within a team environment.• Strong attention t o detail and accuracy.• Valid California Driver's License preferred for local deliveries.• Ability t o communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
Education & Experience• High school diploma o r GED preferred.• 1-3 years o f shipping, receiving, warehouse, packaging, o r manufacturing supportexperience preferred.• Experience in manufacturing o r CNC machining environments strongly preferred.• Experience handling regulated o r high-precision products i s a plus.
Physical Requirements• Ability t o lift u p t o 50-60 Ibs.• Ability t o stand and walk for extended periods.• Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive movement.• Ability t o safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, shipping equipment, and industrial materials. PPE may be required depending o n assigned tasks and customer product requirements.
