CPH is a multi-disciplinary Engineering and Architecture firm that ranks in the nation's Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine. We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to join and help lead our dynamic team in Sanford, FL!
The Senior Program Manager is responsible for leading strategic commercial development programs from business development through successful project delivery and client relationship growth. This role combines program leadership, business development, financial accountability, and team development to build profitable, sustainable client programs across Retail, Mixed-Use, Industrial, and other private development markets.
Working closely with executive leadership, the Senior Program Manager will strengthen key client relationships, identify new business opportunities, expand multidisciplinary services, and lead high-performing teams in delivering complex commercial site/civil development programs throughout Florida and the Southeast.
Duties Include
Client Development & Business Growth
  • Represent CPH professionally, developing and strengthening long-term relationships with strategic commercial clients, developers, owners, consultants, and industry partners.
  • Identify opportunities to expand CPH's Architecture, Structural Engineering, MEP, Civil Engineering, Surveying, and other multidisciplinary services.
  • Lead business development activities and support strategic market expansion throughout Florida and the Southeast.
  • Identify, pursue, and convert new opportunities aligned with CPH's strategic growth objectives.
  • Prepare proposals, scopes of work, project strategies, schedules, staffing plans, and fee estimates.
  • Participate in client presentations, interviews, negotiations, and professional services agreement development.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic account and market growth plans.

Program & Project Leadership
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering complex commercial building development programs.
  • Provide overall leadership and accountability for project planning, execution, and client communication.
  • Maintain accountability for program scope, schedule, budget, staffing, quality, risk, and client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate resources across Architecture, Structural Engineering, MEP, Civil Engineering, Surveying, and other disciplines to ensure efficient and profitable project delivery.
  • Establish program priorities, delivery strategies, milestones, and performance expectations.
  • Proactively identify and address project risks, scope changes, resource constraints, and client concerns.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with CPH standards, contractual requirements, and client expectations.
  • Promote consistent project management practices and operational excellence across assigned programs.

Business Unit Leadership
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Senior Vice President and Business Unit leadership team.
  • Support business planning, resource forecasting, staffing strategies, and long-term program development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational performance, delivery processes, and profitability.
  • Support the development and implementation of Business Unit growth strategies.
  • Contribute to market intelligence, competitive analysis, and identification of emerging opportunities.
  • Help establish repeatable processes and delivery models that support scalable program growth.
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, client service, and profitable growth.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, engineers, technical professionals, and other team members.
  • Build high-performing multidisciplinary teams aligned with program requirements and client expectations.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, performance expectations, and accountability.
  • Support succession planning and development of future program and project leaders.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to strengthen technical, project management, business development, and leadership capabilities.
  • Foster a collaborative environment across Civil, Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, and other disciplines.

Financial & Operational Accountability
  • Maintain accountability for program financial performance and profitability.
  • Develop and monitor project and program budgets, forecasts, staffing plans, and resource requirements.
  • Evaluate project performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Manage scope, change orders, contractual requirements, and fee utilization.
  • Support accurate revenue forecasting, backlog management, and invoicing.
  • Ensure project teams maintain appropriate documentation and follow established CPH financial and operational procedures.

Requirements
Education and Experience:Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in A/E consulting, engineering, construction, commercial development, or a related professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex commercial development programs and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven experience developing and managing strategic client relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience with proposals, scope development, fee development, budgeting, scheduling, staffing, and contract negotiations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing financial performance and profitability of projects or programs.
  • Experience leading and developing teams of technical professionals.

Preferred
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license, professional registration, technical certification, or equivalent industry experience.
  • PMP certification, MBA, or other advanced business or project management credential.
  • Experience supporting national or regional commercial clients.
  • Experience within Retail, Mixed-Use, Industrial, Healthcare, Education, Assisted Living, Facilities, or other private development markets.
  • Experience managing programs or teams of approximately 10 or more professionals.
  • Established network of commercial developers, owners, consultants, or industry partners.
  • Experience supporting market expansion across Florida or the Southeast.
