Rxsafe information

What are some common challenges faced by Rxsafe technicians and how can they be addressed?

Rxsafe technicians often encounter challenges such as troubleshooting automated pharmacy systems, maintaining accuracy during high-volume medication dispensing, and adapting to frequent software updates. To address these issues, it's helpful to develop strong problem-solving skills, maintain clear communication with pharmacists and other staff, and participate in ongoing training sessions provided by the employer or Rxsafe itself. Working closely with the pharmacy team and staying updated on new features or protocols can also minimize errors and streamline daily operations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Rxsafe Pharmacy Automation Technician, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Rxsafe Pharmacy Automation Technician, you generally need a background in pharmacy operations, technical troubleshooting, and knowledge of pharmacy workflow, often supported by experience as a pharmacy technician or similar role. Familiarity with Rxsafe automation systems, pharmacy management software, and relevant certifications such as a Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) are typically required. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities help ensure safe and efficient medication dispensing. These skills are crucial for maintaining operational accuracy, reducing errors, and supporting optimal pharmacy performance.

Rxsafe professionals focus on medication safety, compliance, and ensuring proper medication handling, often working closely with pharmacists. Pharmacy Technicians assist in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing customer service. While both roles require pharmacy-related credentials, Rxsafe emphasizes safety protocols, whereas Pharmacy Technicians focus on dispensing and operational support.

What is an Rxsafe and what does it do in a pharmacy?

An Rxsafe is an automated medication storage and dispensing system used in pharmacies to increase efficiency, accuracy, and security. It organizes and stores prescription medications, allowing for quick retrieval and reducing the risk of dispensing errors. By automating the tracking and management of inventory, Rxsafe systems help pharmacies streamline their workflow, minimize waste, and improve patient safety. They are particularly useful in busy pharmacy environments where handling a high volume of prescriptions is common.

Job description

Job Description:

Role Summary

The National Accounts role is responsible for identifying, developing, and onboarding new large-scale customers for RxSafe—including regional and national pharmacy chains and closed-door long-term care pharmacies. The position focuses on driving adoption of RxSafe’s compliance packaging automation (RapidPakRx, RapidCardRx, RapidCardSD, RapidStor) and industry-leading counting technology (Eyecon) across multi-site organizations. While new business acquisition is the primary focus, the role also includes strategically expanding assigned existing accounts and supporting enterprise-level growth initiatives.

What You Will Do:

New Account Acquisition

  • Prospect, target, and engage multi-site retail chains, LTC pharmacies, and enterprise-level pharmacy organizations.
  • Lead the full sales cycle from outreach to discovery, proposal, demo, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Build executive-level relationships to influence strategic automation decisions.

Account Growth & Expansion

  • Identify cross-sell and add-on opportunities within assigned existing accounts.
  • Conduct business reviews and provide strategic guidance to support expansion.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipelines in HubSpot CRM.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Implementation, Customer Success, Marketing, and Support to ensure smooth onboarding and strong customer experience.
  • Represent RxSafe at trade shows, conferences, and partner meetings, including product demos.

Customer & Market Insight

  • Understand complex pharmacy workflows, labor challenges, reimbursement pressures, and automation ROI.
  • Provide competitive insights and share market intelligence internally.
  • Educate prospects on the financial and operational benefits of RxSafe’s automation solutions.
What We Are Looking For:
  • 7+ years in enterprise or national/regional account sales—preferably in pharmacy automation, medical devices, or healthcare technology.
  • Proven success landing new large accounts or selling into multi-site organizations.
  • Strong consultative selling skills, executive communication, and contract negotiation experience.
  • Organized, self-driven, with strong CRM discipline (HubSpot preferred).
  • Ability to travel nationally (30–50%).

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, communicating, and computer use.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, and handling equipment for trade show setups.
