Part-Time Optometrist

Williamsbridge/Ollinville section of the Bronx

Inversa Rx Optical is a modern neighborhood optical practice within Inersa Rx Pharmacy serving the Bronx community with comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens services, and quality eyewear solutions. We are committed to providing personalized patient care in a welcoming and professional environment.

Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed Optometrist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, clinically skilled, and enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and families in the community.

Schedule

Flexible Part-Time

Preferred coverage:

  • 1–3 days per week
  • Saturdays preferred
  • Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Additional days available based on demand

Compensation

$65–$87 per hour (based on experience)

OR

$500–$700 per day

Additional incentives may be available based on exam volume, contact lens fittings, and specialty services. This compensation is competitive with current Bronx and NYC market rates.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations
  • Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and vision disorders
  • Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses
  • Educate patients regarding eye health and preventive care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and EMR documentation
  • Collaborate with optical staff to ensure exceptional patient experiences
  • Refer patients for specialty care when appropriate

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
  • Active New York State Optometry License
  • Strong communication and patient-care skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
  • New graduates welcome to apply
