Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with the processing of multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Review and audit employee timecards for accuracy and completeness.
  • Process payroll changes including new hires, terminations, wage changes, direct deposits, deductions, and tax updates.
  • Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, and payroll reporting.
  • Respond to employee and manager payroll questions in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain payroll records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Partner with HR on employee onboarding, benefits deductions, and payroll-related changes.
  • Work with payroll vendors and internal departments to resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Participate in payroll process improvements and special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of payroll experience preferred.
  • Multi-state payroll experience strongly preferred.
  • UKG Ready experience is highly desired but not required.
  • Working knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll best practices.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, sorting, filtering, and spreadsheets) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS or payroll systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
