Responsibilities:

The lot attendant is responsible for moving customer vehicles to ensure smooth and efficient traffic flow through the facility and increase customer convenience and maintaining an orderly parking area. The primary duties and responsibilities of the porter include:

  • Install propane tanks
  • Perform a variety of tasks including: janitorial, delivery driving, landscaping, washing and vacuuming vehicles.
  • Drive vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot.
  • Deliver the keys and repair order hard copies to the appropriate key board immediately after parking a vehicle in the service parking lot.
  • Maintain the parking lot in a neat and organized manner.
  • Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles, including the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Make sure all the vehicles in the service parking lot are kept locked.
  • Assist in moving disabled vehicles in or around the service department.
  • Inspect each vehicle for lot damage that may have been done during the vehicle's stay in the service department. Report any damage to management immediately.
  • Assist in preparing rentals for customers.
  • Inspect the vehicle for grease spots or any other stains or debris that the service department may have left and clean them up immediately using the material and techniques specified by management.
  • When delivering completed vehicles to their owners, thank them in a friendly and courteous manner and let them know that we appreciate their business.
  • Assisting the managers with anything they need, or might need help with.

Qualifications:

  • Operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans with ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions
  • A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced work environment
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid in state driver's license
  • Possess an acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug test.
