Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Senior Backend Engineer - Blockchain - this is a fully remote role for N America based candidates. Salary range: 180-220K USD base plus equity.

We are a stablecoin platform for builders. With us, developers can create their stablecoins in minutes by extending $M - M0’s superior digital-dollar building block, and customize attributes such as branding, compliance behaviors, and yield distribution mechanics. By extending $M into their own stablecoin, businesses can monetize their digital dollar use cases and maintain control over their money tech stack, while not being burdened by operational heavy-lifting.

We are seeking an experienced Protocol Backend Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will enhance the growing set of $M Extensions projects, support partners' technical teams, improve existing products, and create and maintain comprehensive documentation.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated onchain minting and cross-chain stablecoin liquidity management solutions.

  • Deploy modern web applications using best practices to ensure security, compliance, security, and high availability.

  • Implement monitoring and alerting systems to deliver high-uptime, low-latency user experiences.

  • Mentor mid-level engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and best practices.

  • Promote engineering excellence and agile practices to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Rust.

  • Basic understanding of smart contract development for EVM-compatible chains, and optionally for non-EVM chains such as Solana, Sui, and others.

  • Advanced backend experience with proven history of building scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

  • Prior experience with the Fireblocks API is a plus.

  • Direct experience with DeFi applications, including lending, derivatives, AMMs, and stablecoins, with the ability to design and implement complex on-chain financial logic.

  • Practical experience deploying and managing applications across multi-region cloud platforms.

  • Proficient with CI/CD processes and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
