Job description

The Russian Operational Language Analyst (OLA II) performs advanced cryptologic language processing and intelligence exploitation in support of national security missions. This role requires experience translating, transcribing, gisting, and drafting intelligence reports while supporting complex operational requirements in a highly classified environment.

Essential Job Functions:

Perform cryptologic language processing of Russian audio and graphic materials.

Translate, transcribe, and gist foreign language communications in support of intelligence operations.

Identify and exploit Essential Elements of Information (EEIs) and other intelligence of operational value.

Draft and edit intelligence reports derived from foreign language source material.

Conduct research to support accurate translation and intelligence production.

Develop and maintain working aids, glossaries, databases, and reference materials to improve mission effectiveness.

Support target development, network analysis, speaker identification, and language identification activities.

Collaborate with intelligence analysts and mission partners to support operational planning and intelligence production.

Ensure all work complies with Government quality standards, classification guidance, and security requirements.

Perform additional operational language and intelligence support duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

Minimum Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Level 3 proficiency in Russian (Audio or Graphic).

Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and 4 years of qualifying full-time experience; or 6 years of qualifying full-time experience in lieu of an associate's degree.

Candidates must possess a minimum of 4 years of experience performing cryptologic language processing, including duties equivalent to an OLA I, with additional experience drafting intelligence reports.

At least 2 years with translation, transcription, and/or gisting as the primary duty.

Experience drafting intelligence reports derived from foreign language source material.

No more than 1 year of the required experience may have consisted primarily of intelligence reporting.

At least 2 of the required 4 years of qualifying experience must have been obtained within the 4 years immediately preceding resume submission.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Advanced proficiency in Russian language exploitation and cryptologic language processing.

Strong analytical, research, and critical-thinking skills.

Experience producing accurate, high-quality translations, transcriptions, gists, and intelligence reports.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a classified operational environment.

A commitment to delivering timely, accurate, and mission-focused intelligence products.

Desired Skills:

Experience supporting the National Security Agency (NSA), Department of Defense (DoD), or the Intelligence Community (IC).

Experience supporting target development, network analysis, and operational intelligence missions.

Familiarity with cryptologic language processing methodologies and Intelligence Community reporting standards.

Experience working in high-tempo, mission-driven classified environments.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex foreign language communications.
