Key Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families, ensuring that treatment plans align with individual needs and backgrounds.
• Provide individual and family therapy based on identified needs, employing therapeutic techniques that best suit the client's circumstances.
• Complete administrative tasks including billing, documentation, and individualized treatment plans, ensuring compliance with insurance authorization and regulatory requirements.
• Develop crisis plans, safety assessments, and relapse prevention strategies, enabling clients to maintain stable functioning in their daily lives.
• Create comprehensive discharge plans that foster long-term wellness and follow-up care.
• Stay informed about and adhere to all federal and state laws, regulations, as well as the policies and procedures of the Kinetic Mental and Wellness Center.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through training and continuing education opportunities, enhancing skills and therapeutic effectiveness.
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and strengthen the support network for clients.
• Complete all mandatory licensure and training requirements, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients we serve come from diverse backgrounds and present with a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. As a therapist at Kinetic Mental and Wellness Center, you will engage with individuals and families, utilizing tailored therapeutic approaches to meet each client's unique needs and cultural context. Your insights and expertise will help empower clients on their journey to mental wellness.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or a related field that fulfills the requirements for licensure.
• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LCPC, LCMFT, LCSW) in the State of Kansas.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in clinical settings providing therapy to diverse populations, with a proven ability to conduct effective assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Demonstrated understanding of best practices in mental health care and familiarity with the specific needs of rural and urban populations.
