Job description

Lane Forest Products is looking for a dependable, hardworking Mechanic Shop Assistant / Parts Runner to support our mechanics and maintenance team.

This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys working around trucks and equipment, likes staying busy, and wants to learn more about a mechanical shop environment.

What You'll Do

  • Pick up and deliver parts and supplies for the mechanics
  • Help receive, organize, label, and put away parts
  • Clean and organize mechanic work areas
  • Clean parts and equipment as directed
  • Help mechanics with basic tasks when needed
  • Keep tools, supplies, and shop materials organized
  • Assist with general shop cleanup and housekeeping
  • Help make sure the shop is safe, clean, and efficient
  • Perform other general shop duties as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Dependable and punctual
  • Positive attitude and willingness to help
  • Organized and able to follow directions
  • Comfortable working in an active mechanic/shop environment
  • Able to work independently once given a task
