Job description

Now Hiring in Bridgeport, CT: Clinical Fellows (CF) Speech-Language Pathologist CCC-SLP

Built by SLPs. Run for SLPs.

At Chatterboxes, we know what it feels like to enter this field full of purpose, and we've built something specifically designed to protect that energy. We're a clinician-led community of 22 Speech-Language Pathologists, united by one conviction: this profession can be more sustainable, more fulfilling, and more supportive

For nearly 20 years, we've specialized in supporting early-career and seasoned clinicians as they step into real-world practice. Our Sanctuary Model was built from the ground up to prevent burnout before it starts; and to make clinical excellence feel accessible, not exhausting.

We're now expanding into schools in Bridgeport, CT and the surrounding region, and we're looking for Clinical Fellows and SLP-As who are ready to begin their careers somewhere that actually invests in them.

For Clinical Fellows

Your CF Year, Without the Survival Mode

Your Clinical Fellowship should feel like a launchpad—not a gauntlet. At Chatterboxes, we've structured the entire CF experience around what you actually need to grow into a confident, well-rounded clinician:

  • Structured mentorship from experienced SLPs who are genuinely invested in your development—not just checking boxes
  • Weekly professional learning opportunities tailored to where you are in your developmental stage
  • Regular reflection and problem-solving sessions designed to build clinical confidence, not anxiety
  • Proactive support—we anticipate challenges and help you navigate them before they become problems
  • A growth-centered experience spanning school, home, and community settings so you graduate your CF with real breadth

Mentorship at Chatterboxes feels steady, human, and deeply personal. Because we believe the CF year sets the tone for your entire career—and you deserve to start it right.

A Community of SLPs who Support and Respect You

SLP-As at Chatterboxes are treated as essential members of the clinical team, because you are. Our clinician-first model is built on clarity, trust, and consistent collaboration:

✨Clear roles & expectations — Scope of practice, documentation, communication, and responsibilities are clearly defined from day one, so you can focus on doing your work well.

✨Consistent mentorship & collaboration — Regular touch points with your colleagues SLP to ensure caseload is manageable, work-life balance is achieved, reflect on sessions, problem-solve challenges, and track your professional growth.

✨Hands-on support, not micromanagement; We balance oversight with trust, empowering you to grow while always having access to support when you need it.

✨A growth-centered experience — Build clinical confidence, professional communication skills, and comfort working across school, home, and community settings.

What Makes Our Culture Different

????Truly Connected — You join a close-knit SLP community that stays in touch every day through our Sanctuary Leaders, SLP Liaison, and clinical team. Real relationships, not a corporate structure.

????Growth That Grows With You — Weekly professional learning, mentorship, and CEU support that evolve alongside your experience—continuous development without overwhelm.

????Careers With Room to Expand — Leadership, mentorship, in-service facilitation, community partnerships, and special projects. We build pathways for clinicians who want more than just a caseload.

????A Culture Worth Celebrating — Workiversaries, Sanctuary dinners, team meetings that actually energize, Round Robin discussions, and guest speakers. Recognition and joy are not afterthoughts here.

????Wellbeing, Protected by Design — The Sanctuary Model is built to honor your time, energy, and balance. When our clinicians feel well, children thrive. It's that simple.
