Job description

Job Summary:
Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Devops SRE Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure services and automation tooling. The role involves collaborating with software and quality assurance engineers to enhance software delivery and service quality in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• designing, deploying, and maintaining state of the art cloud-based infrastructure services and automation tooling
• working directly with our organization’s software and quality assurance engineers to enable high quality software delivery and improve quality of service
• managing multiple responsibilities, navigating shifting priorities, and meeting tight deadlines
• coordinating efforts across various stakeholders to develop and implement innovative solutions
• engaging in healthy debate, and applying a keen analytical mindset
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Fluent in one or more programming languages such as Java, PHP, Ruby, JavaScript/Typescript, or another relevant OOP language and common web frameworks (Spring, Symfony, Rails, etc.)
• Experience developing with and deploying to containerized environments (such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc.)
• Understanding of Software Development lifecycle and familiarity with common tools in the industry such as version control systems, deployment and monitoring tools, and package managers (npm, pip, Gradle, Maven, etc.)
• Great understanding of software design principles and software architecture
• Experience developing continuous integration pipelines and/or writing automated tests
Preferred:
• Experience with common infrastructure components and concepts, such as load balancing, container orchestration, and database systems (Postgres and MySQL)
• Experience with build systems (Jenkins, GitHub actions, TravisCI, CircleCI), and Continuous Integration
• Experience with GitOps, Helm, ArgoCD or FluxCD are a plus
