About the role
As a Staff Software Engineer at Reserv, you'll be at the heart of our growth journey, shaping the future of our technology and platform. You are a passionate engineer with proven successfully leading and executing on large projects. Reserv will be depending on you and your team to build a beautiful, powerful product from a user-story driven front-end all the way and a scalable back-end to robust APIs that make it easy to connect us with other next-generation solutions. For this role, we are seeking engineers with strong full-stack software engineering skills with a curiosity for systems, a proclivity for end-to-end ownership of features, and an ability to both run independently and collaborate well with fellow engineers and business-side teammates.   • Ship code that improves the developer experience, including the homepage, developer dashboard, Connect, SDKs, and the documentation center
  • Build frontend and backend components that improve the Reserv integration experience
  • Commit on your first day, and deploy code continuously
  • Support developers at customer companies
  • As we scale our product & engineering teams, collaborate closely with our product ops, design, and sales teams, as well as mentor junior engineers
  • Communicate ideas and specifications through detailed, precise writing
  • Influence the culture, values, and processes of a growing engineering team
  • Support the engineering function globally
  • Enjoy and have fun being creative and thinking outside of the box. You will need to draw on analogous situations you've worked on before, but we are not traversing well-traveled roads. "Where we're going, we don't need roads!"

Requirements
  • 10 years of experience as an individual contributor with experience using modern programming languages and front-end frameworks
  • Have a strong demonstrated ability to ship high-quality products, both at work and outside of work. We love engineers that build side-projects or contribute to open-source repos
  • A passion for building intuitive technology and a thirst for learning
  • Able to think through customer requirements and prioritize what is a must-have, nice-to-have, or irrelevant
  • Have a strong technical skillset but also the willingness and ability to take over tasks outside your core competency
