A services organization in Queens, NY is seeking a Ruby on Rails Full Stack Developer to design, build, and support secure web-based applications across the full technology stack. This role focuses on Ruby on Rails development, front-end integration, code quality, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.


About the Opportunity:




  • Schedule: Monday to Friday at Queens, NY location




  • Setting: Onsite to start, then Hybrid




Responsibilities:




  • Develop code that aligns with design specifications, security standards, and Ruby on Rails best practices




  • Build and enhance web applications using Ruby on Rails and front-end technologies




  • Design and develop new systems, features, enhancements, and defect fixes across the full stack




  • Support and maintain critical web-based applications used by business units




  • Collaborate with team members and other groups on solutions, code reviews, testing, and implementation activities




Qualifications:




  • 5+ years of full-stack experience developing Web Applications with Ruby on Rails





  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technology field





  • Experience solving complex software development and design issues using clean, maintainable code




  • Ability to write technical design and build documentation




  • Experience with secure infrastructure coding standards




  • Strong process orientation, planning, organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, facilitation, leadership, and communication skills




Desired Skills:




  • Postgres and Linux experience is great to have
