Job description

Prorize works with global corporations to design, develop and implement price optimization solutions. These solutions leverage a rich history of transactions and apply sophisticated pricing science to determine the optimal price for each product. Once implemented, these solutions have proven to deliver 3% to 10% incremental revenue lift making them an indispensable part of the company's business processes. Prorize is currently implementing a product road-map for a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) price optimization solution for multiple industry verticals.
Prorize has posted a strong track record over the past few years and is currently looking to expand its product development team.
There is an immediate requirement for a highly motivated senior web application developer to implement large-scale web-based enterprise software, which will provide mission critical price optimization capabilities and enable business users to implement product pricing and related decisions.
The Senior Web Application Developer will play a leadership role in defining, designing and implementing the product road-map to enable intuitive and state-of-the-art workflow and decision support capabilities for users to interact with and drive pricing decisions.
This role will be a great fit for a candidate with:
  • A passion for building high performance web-based applications
  • Experience in understanding product vision and translating that into reality
  • Strong knowledge of data intensive applications
  • One or more web application technologies/platforms - JavaScript, jQuery, node.js, ExtJS, Ruby on Rails, ASP.Net MVC Framework, CSS, HTML5
  • Excellent database skills and SQL Server expertise
  • The ability to thrive in a small product development team environment and help grow the team

Specific responsibilities and activities include:
  • Define application approach, strategy and architecture
  • Work closely with internal and external subject matter experts to understand the business processes and capability requirements
  • Design and implement the web application end-to-end
  • Build the framework for and document the web application with the adoption of best practice based principles
  • Ensure technical excellence in the software with fundamental QA/QC practices
  • Support, enhance and evolve the solution road-map

Requirements
  • B.S. (M.S. preferred) in Computer Science or related fields
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in developing web application
  • Fluent in English
  • The candidate must possess the highest integrity, be a self-starter, and work equally well in teams or independently
