What does a successful Senior Site Reliability Engineer do at Clover?

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you are responsible for managing, deploying and architecting infrastructure solutions that scale, are redundant and can handle serious throughput. Our customers consist of some of the largest Sports & Entertainment venues in the world. If working with a talented, motivated team excites you and you want to work with the latest and greatest of what cloud technology at blistering scale has to offer -- look no further. Your work and effort will directly improve and help some of the largest names in the Sports & Entertainment industry across some of the highest profile events there is.

What you will do:

  • AWS Mastery: Operate and innovate within Amazon Web Services at massive scale.

  • Kubernetes Orchestration: Manage high-performance clusters across multiple regions and accounts.

  • CI/CD & Pipeline Development: Design and maintain robust GitHub Actions workflows to automate testing, security scanning, and deployment.

  • Infrastructure as Code: Automate everything using Terraform.

  • Data & Performance: Architect high-performance data layers and manage complex RDBMS/Document storage.

  • Observability: Implement advanced monitoring and tracing via New Relic, Dynatrace, or Datadog.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Drive Technical Design Reviews, mentor teams on SRE principles, and bridge the gap between software and infrastructure.

What you will need to have:

  • 5+ years of production experience in AWS, Kubernetes, and Linux/Unix administration.

  • Proven track record of developing and scaling SDLC pipelines, with a deep focus on GitHub Actions or equivalent.

  • 4+ years of experience running highly scalable, cloud-based systems.

  • 4+ years working with RDBMS and Document Storage.

  • Advanced proficiency with Docker, GitHub, and automated release strategies.

  • Proven track record with Terraform.

  • Coding/scripting in Python/Bash, Node, or Ruby on Rails.

What would be great to have:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent high-level production experience.

  • AWS or Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) certifications are a major plus.

  • Advanced understanding of DNS, Load Balancing, and Virtual Networking.

  • Experience writing Kubernetes custom operators.

  • A "Full-Stack" mindset: The ability to identify performance improvements in software that pair perfectly with infrastructure architecture.

Salary Range

$128,000.00 - $216,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
