STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for Mold Press Operators Trainee - 2nd Shift to join the team. This position is responsible for the operation of presses to mold and cure rubber on manufactured assemblies.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate: Red & Brown Rubber Mill, Extruder, Molding Press, and Oil Molding Press
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, method sheets, process sheets, policies and procedures to manufacture a variety of rigid and flexible metal tubes.
  • Measures angular dimensions, radii, contours, clearances, thread lead, wall thickness, and other specifications. Performs a variety of quality tests per procedures.
  • Installs dies and plates on machine according to work order specifications, using clamps, bolts, and hand-tools.
  • Sprays inner surface of mold with lubricant to prevent rubber from sticking.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications

Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
