On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a BMS Consultant for a contract opportunity in Plano, TX.


BMS Consultant Job Details


Enable monitoring solution for infrastructure and application for overall operation management stack - tools involved are HP BSM, HP OMW, HP SiteScope, HP BPM, HP UCMDB etc. 

Install, Configure and Customize monitoring application as per overall service management reference architecture 

Integration of monitoring application to other application based on reference architecture 

Understand business and IT monitoring requirements, prototyping and implement monitoring solutions 

High Availability and scalability of deployed monitoring application 

Work with various internal customers to identify their monitoring requirements and design solutions to meet those requirements. 

Production Support of Monitoring solution components and related Infrastructure 

Train internal IT teams on usage of Monitoring Solutions.

Hands-on experience and deep expertise in deployment of IT Service Management solution including HP BSM, BSM RTSM, HP uCMDB, SCOM  

Experience in HP's Business Service Manager (BSM/BAC) & Knowledge of RTSM 

HP's Universal Configuration Management Database (uCMDB) 

BSM Adapter Integration: non-HP products (examples: SCOM, Spectrum, Nagios, etc.) 

TQL/SQL 

Python/Jython (Specific to Topology Policies) and Scripting using Perl / Powershell 

Development of Client code using Java API, REST API can be differentiator. 

HP BSM - upgrade, data collector integration/configuration (COTS and home grown), HTTPS/certificates, LDAP integration, HP OMi configuration (ETIs, HIs, KPIs), RTSM configuration (Modeling, Queries, Views, Perspectives), integration with uCMDB, ServiceNow, and other reporting tools 

HP uCMDB -Universal Discovery (advanced mapping and inventory) configuration, Modeling (Queries, Views, Perspectives), integration with BSM, integration with other tools including ServiceNow, Nlyte, HTTPS/certificates, LDAP integration 

Strong troubleshooting skills 

Engineering graduate with software development and configuration experience of 6 to 8 years minimum at expert level including leading the team or deployment 

Strong team player with excellent communication skills 

Ability to multi-task and deliver multiple complex projects 

Drive the project activities with minimal supervision.
