Job Summary

Operates radiological equipment to produce quality radiographs (x-rays) of the body for diagnostic purposes under the direction of a physician.

Responsible for providing all Special Procedure and Cath Lab procedures in accordance with department policy and procedure as well as IDNS regulatory standards. Ensures compliance with all IEMA regulatory standards as applicable to Radiology and Radiation Protection for patients and staff in area. Responsible for ensuring department patient schedule is complete and ensures daily reconciliation of Open Order Report.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  • An Associates degree from an American Medical Association-approved course in radiologictechnology
  • Must be eligible for certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technology

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • One to two years of experience as a radiology technician is recommended, but not required
  • Experience or training in a defined functional area of special procedures is recommended, butnot required.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Registered (or eligible) by ARRT (RTR) Required
  • BCLS Certification Required
  • ACLS Certification - Preferred
