Job Description

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is currently seeking a Range Training Officer (RTO)/Training Specialist to support live and synthetic training environments at the 6th and 16th Weapons Squadrons at Nellis AFB, Nevada. ย 
Mission Technologies provides mission-critical engineering and technical service for Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Fully integrates with/and supports the 6th and 16th ย Weapons Squadron's syllabus and Weapons School's Range Training and Assessment team for each class; support the Weapons School's Integration (WSINT) phase execution to train and graduate USAF Weapons Officers.
  • Develops training curriculum, study outlines, and orientation materials to be employed during flight procedures, simulation, and/or flight training for the fighter specific training, and fighter integration.
  • Supports Mission Planning, Execution and Debrief for weapons employment assessments.
  • Conducts instructional sessions, briefings, and proficiency checks on Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground Tactics, Techniques and Procedures; fully supports the mission debrief to maximize student learning.
  • Evaluates student's progress and recommends syllabus progression or additional training.
  • Reviews live-fly or simulation scenario design and virtual or live range training effectiveness to maximize student proficiency IAW the syllabus.
  • Coordinates utilization schedules for training flight crews and necessary support.ย 
Minimum Qualifications
  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and capability to be read into multiple Special Access Programs.
  • Air to ground weapons delivery assessment experience.
  • Must have Air-to-Air and/or Air-to-Ground RTO experience.
  • Experience with leading or supporting the development of training curriculums.
  • USAF Green Flag, Red Flag, or comparable Large Force Exercise experience.
Preferred Requirements
  • Currently briefed to Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC) is preferred.
  • Fighter aircraft experience.
  • Real-time HARM shot assessment experience.
  • Training experience at the USAF Weapons School.
