  • MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with PECVD, metal evaporation & sputter equipment is required, additional experience with RTA is a plus.
  • Experience with Plasmaterm PECVD, Evatec evaporation and KLA Sputter tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a manufacturing-grade cleanroom environment 
  • Functional working knowledge of SPC, DOE, and FMEA 
  • Project leadership experience with excellent oral and written communication skills 

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $114,000.00-$193,700.00 range exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.   • Thin films & metals Engineer's primary responsibility is to develop and qualify the films, metals & RTA module processes for wide bandgap high power transistors.  This Engineer will lead projects focused on etch process capability development, process control, and qualification while sustaining baseline processes to support their colleagues' projects to deliver the overall program goals. 
  • This role requires an efficient and effective collaborator with a team-first attitude; this role will interact closely with fab process engineering and process integration teams to deliver, sustain, and improve films & metals attributes for device performance and yield. 
  • The individual in this role must be self-motivated and hands-on with an ability to contribute independently.  The nature of this technical program within onsemi requires this individual to be hard-working and flexible in their support of the program's objectives. 
  • An ideal candidate for this role is data-driven and detail-oriented with experience developing thin films, Metals & RTA processes from ideation through to qualification for production.
