At NMC Health, were proud to set a 5-Star standard for healthcare in the Wichita Metro Area, and we are seeking a Respiratory Therapist (Full Time) to join our dedicated Respiratory Care team.

If you are a Respiratory Therapist who prioritizes the health, comfort, and wellbeing of your patients and you are a team player with a strong track record of providing exceptional care NMC Health wants to meet you. We are looking for an individual who not only has the clinical skills but also the passion to help patients reach their goals through high-quality respiratory care, education, and support.

In this role, you will responsible for independently performing respiratory care procedures, interpret physician orders, assess patient needs, deliver prescribed therapy, and evaluate patient responses. You will also have the opportunity to perform invasive procedures with minimal supervision and provide minor assistance in patient care units and critical care areas.

On a daily basis, you will serve as a consulting role by communicating suggestions to the clinical team by offering guidance on respiratory care delivery, addressing patients changing needs, and helping ensure efficient workflow, optimal productivity, and high-quality patient care.

This is a full time day shift position working every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Performing respiratory care procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
  • Assessing patient needs and evaluating responses to respiratory therapy
  • Delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients in various hospital units
  • Performing invasive and non-invasive respiratory care procedures
  • Providing consultation and education to clinical staff regarding respiratory care delivery
  • Responding effectively to changes in patient needs and workload
  • Supporting optimal efficiency, safety, and patient outcomes
QUALIFICATIONS Education
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
  • RRT credential required
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting as a Respiratory Therapist
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to provide safe and effective respiratory care with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
Licensure, Registration or Certification
  • Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
  • Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
