How much do rrt respiratory jobs pay per hour?
What is the difference between Rrt Respiratory vs Respiratory Therapist Assistant?
| Aspect | Rrt Respiratory | Respiratory Therapist Assistant |
|---|---|---|
| Credentials | Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential, required certifications | Certified Respiratory Therapist Assistant (CRTA), less extensive certification |
| Work Environment | Hospitals, clinics, intensive care units, outpatient settings | Similar settings, often working under supervision of RRTs |
| Job Responsibilities | Advanced patient assessment, ventilator management, treatment planning | Assisting with patient care, basic procedures, equipment setup |
The main difference between Rrt Respiratory and Respiratory Therapist Assistant lies in their credentials, responsibilities, and level of independence. RRTs have advanced training and certification, allowing them to perform complex assessments and manage ventilators independently. Respiratory Therapist Assistants support RRTs with basic patient care tasks. Both roles work in similar environments but differ significantly in scope and autonomy.
