RPG Developer

Immediate need for a talented RPG Developer. This is a 06+months contract opportunity in multiple locations including Monett & Springfield, MO, St. Louis, MO, Kansas City, MO, Dallas/Plano, TX (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $22 - $24/hr. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities
  • This is a unique opportunity in which selected candidates need to complete a 4-week mandatory remote paid training prior to placement.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications written in RPG on the Client AS400/iSeries platform.
  • Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Debug and resolve software issues and support ongoing production systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and system integration efforts.
  • Work closely with senior developers, QA, and business analysts in an agile environment.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience
  • Key Skills; 0โ€“2 years of hands-on experience with RPG IV / RPGLE programming.
  • Working knowledge of Client AS400/iSeries systems.
  • Basic understanding of CL (Control Language) and DB2.
  • Familiarity with job scheduling and file management on AS400.
  • Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Exposure to ILE concepts, Free Format RPG, or embedded SQL.
  • Basic understanding of version control tools and ticketing systems.
