Job description

Our client, within the manufacturing and consumer goods industry, is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team! This will be an onsite role role working out of their office in Hillside, NJ. The successful candidate will bring strong corporate accounting knowledge, possess excellent attention to detail, and have the ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
  • Please no corp-to-corp applicants or third-party agencies. Sub-contracted candidates or candidates that require immediate sponsorship cannot be considered.
Role Overview:
  • Pay: $65,000 - $70,000
  • Schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
Responsibilities:
  • Participate in and support the monthly-close process
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Perform balance sheet analysis and reconciliations
  • Support inventory accounting and the purchasing process
  • Assist with royalty accounting analysis as needed
  • Prepare documents for annual audits and special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • 0-3 years of corporate accounting experience (internship experience included)
  • Knowledge of financial statements and monthly-close processes
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, x/vlookups, etc.)
  • ERP system experience is required, Sage X3 experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
