Avail Staffing is actively looking for Marine Electrician Technicians I and II that will support shipyard operations by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic systems aboard various naval and commercial vessels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine electronics, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented shipyard environment.
**Proficiency with MCT building is highly preferred and will take precedence over other candidates.
Marine Electrician - II
Position Summary:
The Marine Electrician II is responsible for supporting the installation and repair of shipboard electrical systems under the guidance of senior electricians. This role requires a good working knowledge of standard practices and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation of conduit, cable trays, and shipboard wiring
- Perform basic troubleshooting and component replacement
- Install, build, pack, and seal Multi-Cable Transits (MCTs) in accordance with NAVSEA and shipyard specifications
