Job description

Senior Full Stack Developer – (React, Node, AWS & Agentic AI), #1105

Location: Herndon, VA (hybrid once per quarter)
Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain TSA Public Trust.

Dev Technology is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to design and build scalable software solutions on AWS. You'll work across the stack—from React and backend services to cloud infrastructure—while leveraging modern, AI-assisted development practices.

What You'll Do
  • Design and develop scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and/or Python.
  • Design and implement AWS cloud and serverless architectures using services such as EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, S3, Aurora PostgreSQL, and Bedrock.
  • Build and integrate APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing using GitLab.
  • Use AI-powered development tools such as Kiro, Amazon Q Developer, GitHub Copilot, or similar agentic AI environments for code generation, refactoring, testing, and specification-driven development.
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to technical, product, and release planning and resolve complex system integration challenges.
  • Identify technical risks and dependencies and contribute to project planning and documentation.
  • Write and maintain high-quality, scalable code with strong unit and integration test coverage.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, availability, security, and cost efficiency.
Required Education, Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of full-stack software development experience.
  • Strong experience with React and TypeScript.
  • Backend development experience with Node.js or Python.
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing solutions on AWS.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or relational databases.
  • Experience with GitLab, CI/CD, automated testing, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Docker and containerized environments such as ECS/EKS.
  • Experience with AWS CLI and SAM CLI.
  • Understanding of software security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience using AI-powered/agentic development tools in day-to-day software development.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI-assisted development workflows.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
  • AWS certification (Solutions Architect, Developer, or Security).
  • Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven AWS patterns.
  • Experience with AWS Bedrock or other managed AI/ML services.
  • Experience building or integrating AI agents, including RAG, agent orchestration, tool use, or MCP.
  • Experience with Amazon Bedrock Agents, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with specification-driven development using AI tooling.
  • DevOps, monitoring, or observability experience.
  • Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or AWS Security.
  • Contributions to open-source AI tooling or frameworks.
  • Personal GitHub projects or demonstrated use of Kiro or similar agentic IDEs.
  • Oracle experience.

Our estimated salary range for this position is $116,000 - $190,000. This presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Offered salary is based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements as appropriate to the role. *Salary could fall outside of this range
