Position Summary

The Roving Leasing Consultant plays a key role in creating a positive first impression for prospective residents while delivering exceptional customer service throughout the leasing process. This position supports multiple apartment communities by assisting with leasing activities, administrative responsibilities, resident relations, and day-to-day property operations. The Roving Leasing Consultant helps ensure a positive resident experience while maintaining company standards and supporting successful move-in and move-out processes.

Weekend availability is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, prospective residents, and vendors.
  • Conduct apartment tours and assist in leaving available units.
  • Perform and assist with market surveys.
  • Maintain accurate unit availability and leasing information.
  • Process rental applications in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate resident move-ins and manager move-in calendars to ensure units are ready for occupancy.
  • Receive, document, and follow up on resident maintenance requests.
  • Receive and process rent collections in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and organized resident files and documentation.
  • Respond to resident inquiries and concerns, escalating issues to the Supervisor as appropriate.
  • Conduct move-out inspections and assist with the move-out process.
  • Provide general office, clerical, and telephone support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
  • Occasionally required to climb stairs.
  • Ability to work at a computer and use a telephone for extended periods.
  • Ability to recognize visual and audible alarms.
  • Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and extended hours as business needs require.

Schedule & Attendance

  • Full-time position requiring regular and reliable attendance.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • Participation in company meetings, training sessions, and events is expected.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Experience with Yardi, Voyager, LRO, Entrata, and Resident Check is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of apartment/multifamily leasing experience required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English and perform intermediate mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize property management software and other business applications.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through company-provided training.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Reliable personal transportation is required to travel between assigned communities throughout the workday.
  • Ability to use a personal vehicle for business-related travel as needed. Mileage reimbursement is provided in accordance with company policy.
