Advantage Security, Inc. (ASI) has provided both security and customer service to its clients for over 31 years in the Denver and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking exceptional candidates for full-time Security Roving Officer positions in the Denver and the surrounding areas. Opportunities: An SRO is a gateway to advancement. You will have interaction with clients, other guards, building management, as well as high visibility with the ASI SOC Managers and Portfolio Managers. This is an ideal position to learn building lead and Supervisory skills

Shifts: Must be available to work either shift below at various locations throughout the week

1. Day 7:00 am - 3:00 pm and Swing 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm - Must be available to work both shifts

2. Grave 11:00 pm - 7:00 am - Must be available 6 days of the week

Duties:

Security Roving Officers differ from standard security officers as they have no permanent schedules or assignments. This means they will work different addresses weekly and will have different days off every week depending on operational needs. These officers will be responsible for emergency staffing and will find their assignments changed the same day during emergencies. Roving officers are expected to work 40 hours plus each week. This means each week they will be assigned 40 hours one week in advance and then will be requested to work more hours daily depending on operational needs.

Security Officers with ASI are accountable for monitoring and controlling the access of employees, visitors, and contractors to various client-owned buildings, as well as advising and escorting individuals into spaces. Officers will be required to maintain security records and reports during their shifts. Other responsibilities, of our security officers, include; the protection of property, the protection against security threats, the avoidance of hazardous situations, and preserving order at designated properties.

Basic Requirements:

  • 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • US citizenship or possess the right to work permit
  • Able to pass a drug screen test and background check to include THC
  • Fluently speak, read, and write English
  • Able to obtain a Security Guard License
  • Must be computer literate (Experience with Microsoft Office is a plus)
  • Demonstrates ability to follow site-specific requirements, including adapting to uniform standards based on assigned location. Well-versed in uniform maintenance and preperation.
  • Be willing and able to perform extensive foot patrols and stand for extended period of times.
  • Punctuality

  • Previous security, military, and/or law enforcement experience a plus but not required
  • Ability to remain calm and focused
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Flexibility and able to work overtime when needed
