Roving Leasing Consultant

Member of the Cove Support Team

Position Summary

The Roving Leasing Consultant is a key member of the Cove Support Team, a group of high-performing professionals who provide operational, leasing, and marketing support across Cove Property Management's portfolio. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy variety, and are passionate about helping communities succeed.

As a trusted resource, the Roving Leasing Consultant travels to assigned communities to provide temporary coverage, support lease-up efforts, assist during staffing transitions, strengthen occupancy performance, and contribute to special projects. Whether stepping in during a team member's absence, supporting a newly acquired community, or helping a property reach its leasing goals, this role ensures every community continues delivering the exceptional service and resident experience Cove is known for.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, customer-focused, highly organized, and able to quickly integrate into different teams while maintaining consistency in Cove's leasing standards, operational processes, and company culture.

Essential Responsibilities

Leasing & Sales

  • Professionally greet, qualify, and engage prospective residents through phone, email, text, and in-person interactions
  • Conduct community tours showcasing apartment homes, amenities, and neighborhood features
  • Guide prospects through the leasing process from initial inquiry through move-in
  • Process rental applications and prepare lease documents accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure apartment homes are move-in ready by coordinating with maintenance teams
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects to maximize leasing conversions
  • Assist communities in achieving occupancy, leasing, and renewal goals

Portfolio Support

  • Travel to assigned Cove communities based on business needs
  • Provide coverage during vacations, leaves of absence, staffing vacancies, training periods, and peak leasing seasons
  • Support lease-up communities, grand openings, acquisitions, and special operational projects
  • Quickly learn community-specific procedures while maintaining Cove's company standards
  • Assist with operational priorities as assigned
  • Share best practices and contribute ideas that improve consistency and performance across the portfolio

Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Execute marketing initiatives that generate qualified traffic
  • Assist with outreach marketing, resident referral programs, employer partnerships, and local networking opportunities
  • Create and support engaging social media content in accordance with Cove's brand standards
  • Monitor competitor activity and market conditions to support leasing strategies
  • Ensure leasing offices, model apartments, and tour paths consistently reflect Cove's quality standards

Resident Experience

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to prospects and residents
  • Support resident retention through renewal conversations and resident engagement initiatives
  • Assist with resident events and community programming
  • Respond professionally and promptly to resident concerns while partnering with on-site teams to provide solutions

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Utilize Yardi and other company platforms to accurately document prospect traffic, leasing activity, resident communications, and reporting
  • Maintain complete and accurate records
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, company policies, and applicable state and local regulations
  • Complete additional operational or administrative assignments as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous apartment leasing, hospitality, retail sales, or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management abilities
  • Comfortable adapting to new teams, communities, and priorities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; Yardi experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple teams

Travel Requirements

  • Frequent travel between Cove Property Management communities is required
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record
  • Mileage reimbursement is provided in accordance with company policy
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required for training, lease-up support, or company meetings

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and conduct property tours throughout the workday
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance
