JOB SUMMARY

The Route Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily work of Route Drivers. This position also serves as back up to Route Drivers and Warehouse Employees


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all Route Drivers are loaded and ready to start routes on time each morning.
  • Ensure drivers rotate product regularly and manage par levels.
  • Perform at least four quality control checks per route each month.
  • Work with Branch Manager to maximize route efficiency.
  • Oversee daily pulling of products and guarantee warehouse pulls are made so routes are ready for the next workday.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service team in overseeing daily field operations.
  • Oversee proper completion of all end of day paperwork by Route Drivers.
  • Make sure warehouse is kept clean and tidy.
  • Ensure all trucks are kept clean (inside and out), organized, and routinely maintained. Address vehicle problems and repairs, as needed. Maintain security of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Provide route relief during vacations, extended leaves, or other absences.
  • Keep Branch Manager informed of parts and equipment needs.
  • Address any problems between employees and promptly escalate significant employee or customer issues to management.
  • Comply with and enforce all FirstChoice policies and procedures, including but not limited to those contained in the Company’s Employee Handbook.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
