Job description

Join our team as a Heavy Haul Permit Coordinator and play a crucial role in safely moving some of the largest and most impressive loads in the industry! In this dynamic position, you'll manage the full permitting process for ATS oversized hauls—identifying optimal routes, securing all state and local permits, and coordinating any additional services needed to execute each move flawlessly. Your expertise helps keep operations running smoothly, minimizes delays, and supports maximum productivity and profitability.

 What You'll Do

  • Own the planning behind the oversized load—calculate load dimensions, choose smart routes, and identify concerns early to keep moves efficient and safe.
  • Handle all permitting with accuracy and speed, submitting applications and securing approvals from state and local agencies.
  • Route loads and communicate key details to fleet supervisors and drivers, ensuring everyone has the instructions needed for a smooth, compliant move.
  • Coordinate essential support services like State Patrol escorts, utility trucks, and other partners to keep operations running seamlessly.
  • Act as the central problem-solver and liaison, working with drivers, fleet teams, permit services, and agencies to resolve issues, reduce risk, and continuously enhance efficiency.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The anticipated hourly pay range for this position begins at $23.00 - $26.50 per hour plus position is eligible for position specific incentive that averages $438/mo once fully trained & consistently meeting position expectations. Hourly pay rate offered is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic location as compared to others doing substantially similar work. In addition to the hourly rate of pay, employees may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which can vary depending on individual and/or company performance.
