POSITION:  Expert Network Engineer

LOCATION: Ft. Meade, Maryland


JOB DESCRIPTION: 
Provides Network support that requires system level design, architecture or enterprise security and security boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure packet capture software, TCP/IP protocol stack, routing/switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access controls (all three supported locations).

• (U) Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC)
• (U) Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers and security devices.
• (U) Expert level support to include physical installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of network routers, switches, load balancers, and security devices (Cisco- based).
• (U) Experienced in system level design and architecture of enterprise security, datacenter virtualization, and CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure.
• (U) Expert security enterprise boundary and datacenter architecture and design
• (U) Create system diagrams and present high-level presentations to management. Experienced in packet capture software.

LCAT QUALIFICATIONS: 
CERTIFICATION:  DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
EXPERIENCE: 
• Bachelor’s degree + 10 years minimum experience, OR
• No Degree + 15 years minimum experience, OR

• Ten (10) years demonstrable experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection. 
• Must have datacenter network design and architecture experience to include installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks.
• Five (5) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

NOTE:  Bachelor’s degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
