What does a vending route driver do?

As a vending route driver, your job is to help with the delivery of products to every vending machine along your route. In this role, you may provide service and maintenance to damaged vending machines, talk with each customer about the types of products they want to see in the machine, and collect money from each location along your route. Vending route drivers almost always drive a large truck, and you may be asked to load and unload your inventory with little or no assistance. Unlike some other delivery routes, vending routes often change from day to day based on which machines need a delivery of products, so the ability to navigate a frequently-changing route is essential to your success.

They may also keep inventory records, report any malfunctions, and provide basic customer service at vending locations. The job often requires driving a company vehicle and managing a daily schedule efficiently. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are important in this role.
