Job description

Our client in Acton is hiring a production supervisor! Work for a local family-owned company that specializes in metal finishing! Work for a well-established company! This position works on a rotational shift (days and nights) - shifts rotate on a monthly basis. This is a long term, ongoing position. Pay rate: - Starting at $34/hour - Weekly pay every Friday Essential functions: - Monitors operations for efficiency and safety. Ensures all regulatory requirements are met. - Assists with production schedules to meet internal goals as well as expectations of customers. - Performs the same work duties as those of whom they supervise and/or perform more difficult skilled tasks or assists in their performance. - Oversees production staff, including hiring/training of personnel. - Prepares and maintains employee records such as attendance and hours worked. Qualifications: - Must have minimum 5 years of supervisory experience related to the steel industry - Experience using torches, drills, forklifts, cranes, files, grinders and calculators - Knowledge of raw materials, production process, quality control and costs - High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required - Ability to read and write in English - Basic mathematical skills, ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest and percentages, basic algebra.
