SUMMARY: The Product Management Intern will support the implementation of a product focused on teacher professional development, gaining hands-on experience across the full product lifecycle. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams-including Engineering, Design, Curriculum, and Data-and engage with diverse stakeholders to understand needs, gather insights, and contribute to building an impactful solution. The Product Management Intern will also conduct research to deepen their understanding of the product space and learn how the Product Management department operates at Stride. As a capstone, the intern will present their project findings and recommend next steps toward a successful product launch.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

  • Support product implementation for a teacher professional development product by contributing to planning, coordination, and execution of key product initiatives alongside senior team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, UX Design, Curriculum, and Data teams to gather requirements, align priorities, and drive progress on product features and deliverables.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the organization-such as educators, instructional designers, and business leaders-to understand needs, collect feedback, and ensure product decisions are grounded in real user insights.
  • Work independently with one or more scrum teams to manage deliverables and ensure timely product delivery. Actively participate in scrum ceremonies-including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews-as well as team exercises, to keep the team aligned, unblock progress, and drive the product forward on schedule.
  • Conduct product and market research by exploring the teacher professional development landscape, analyzing competitive offerings, and surfacing insights that inform product strategy and roadmap decisions.
  • Deliver a final presentation to stakeholders summarizing project findings, key takeaways from the internship experience, and a recommended set of next steps to advance the product toward a successful launch.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree program in Business, Education, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field; OR equivalent relevant coursework or experience.
  • Strong interest in product management, product strategy, or technology product development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in team environments and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn about the product management discipline and the EdTech industry.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work across functions and levels.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to grasp complex platform concepts and business models in a digital context.
  • Ability to clear required background check.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Productboard, or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis or reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau).
  • Passion for education or prior experience in EdTech, K-12, or teacher-focused settings.
  • Experience with research methods, user interviews, or survey design.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections.

We anticipate this position will pay $22.00 per hour. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
