Job description

Nanny Manager | Sauganash, Chicago
Ideal Start Date: August 2026 (flexible for the right candidate)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:30 AM-7:30 PM. Candidate must be able to flex to 8-8:30 pm end time occasionally when needed.
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Compensation: $32-$35/hour, based on experience
Benefits: PTO offered
Parking: Parking available
Driving: Family vehicle may be provided for work-related driving, or family will reimburse mileage. Nanny must have the option to use own vehicle for times the family car is not available.
A warm, welcoming Sauganash family is seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly organized Long-Term Nanny Manager to become an integral part of their household. The family has three children, all of whom attend full-time school and daycare, making this role an ideal blend of childcare, household management, and family assistant responsibilities.
The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, tech-savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
  • Pick up children from school and daycare.
  • Safely transport children to after-school activities, appointments, and extracurriculars
  • Collaborate with parents to coordinate schedules and manage the family calendar
  • Provide engaging, attentive, and age-appropriate care for children from toddler through school age
  • Assist with homework and support school routines
  • Encourage active play and creative activities while respecting the family's preference for limited screen time
  • Meal Prep & prepare healthy family dinners and children's meals
  • Complete children's laundry and keep clothing organized
  • Rotate children's wardrobes seasonally and organize clothing that has been outgrown
  • Make children's beds and keep children's bedrooms, play spaces, and shared family areas neat and organized
  • Tidy the home throughout the day while maintaining an organized household (deep cleaning is not required)
  • Maintain household inventory and restock essential household supplies
  • Grocery shop and run household errands
  • Schedule children's appointments and help manage household logistics
  • Prepare children's items for the next day (school bags, lunch/snacks, activities)
  • Communicate proactively with parents regarding schedules, household needs, and upcoming events
  • Provide limited pet care, including letting the family dog out, keeping the water bowl filled, and serving dinner

  • Has significant experience caring for children from the toddler years through school age
  • Has previous nanny manager or household management experience
  • Is energetic, engaging, and able to keep up with active children
  • Is organized, detail-oriented, and naturally proactive
  • Is comfortable using technology, calendars, scheduling apps, and household management tools
  • Has excellent communication skills and enjoys collaborating with parents
  • Is comfortable working alongside a work-from-home parent with a separate home office
  • Strong driving history
  • CPR Certified
  • Is comfortable with light pet care responsibilities
  • Positive attitude with a good sense of humor
  • Values professionalism, reliability, discretion, and long-term commitment
