Job description

A private family in Sunny Isles Beach is seeking an exceptional Night Nurse / Newborn Care Specialist to provide dedicated overnight care for a newborn arriving May 2026.

This role is critical in establishing healthy sleep patterns and creating a calm, structured nighttime environment. The right candidate is deeply experienced with newborns and operates with quiet confidence, precision, and ease.

We are looking for someone who is steady, composed, and fully comfortable in their expertise. No nervous energy, no overhandling, no chaos. Just consistent, expert care delivered in a calm and controlled manner.

Key Details

  • Location: Sunny Isles Beach, Florida
  • Position Type: Live-out (overnight)
  • Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (rotational, 3–4 nights per week)
  • Start Date: May 2026
  • Duration: A year + as expecting multiple children

Core Responsibilities

Newborn Care & Overnight Support

  • Provide attentive, expert overnight care
  • Manage all wake-ups, feedings, and soothing
  • Support and establish healthy sleep routines and circadian rhythm
  • Monitor feeding, sleep patterns, and overall well-being
  • Maintain a calm, quiet, and predictable overnight environment

Team Coordination & Handoff

  • Execute seamless shift handoffs with the Daytime Nanny
  • Provide clear verbal and written updates on feeding, sleep, and overall status
  • Maintain a shared communication log for consistency across caregivers
  • Collaborate closely with household staff to ensure aligned routines and care approach

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of newborn care experience, including private households
  • Certified Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) strongly preferred
  • Extensive experience with sleep training and infant sleep conditioning
  • Strong knowledge of infant feeding and sterilization protocols
  • CPR and Infant First Aid certified (current)
  • Experience in fully staffed or estate-level homes preferred
  • Fully vaccinated (required)
  • Travel-ready with valid passport

Schedule & Availability

Overnight coverage from 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Flexibility is required based on infant needs and occasional travel.
